EPDM rubber is widely used in automotive seals and industrial gaskets due to its excellent weather resistance and elasticity. However, its high elasticity also makes traditional manual trimming difficult and inefficient, often damaging the product.
Today, in STMC’s application lab, we used the US-130Pro to deburr a batch of EPDM rubber gaskets. During operation, precisely controlled liquid nitrogen cooled the rubber flashes to a brittle, glass-like state. Meanwhile, high-speed soft media precisely removed the brittle flashes without damaging the main body of the product.

Complete flash removal: All fine flashes on inner/outer edges and complex sections were cleanly removed, with clear contours.
Zero product damage: No scratches, dents, or deformation on the product body. The original elasticity and sealing surface of the rubber were perfectly preserved.
