STMC recently ran a cryogenic deflashing test on several PEEK injection molded parts sent by a customer. Burrs were mainly found at the gate and outer edges. These parts are small and require high precision in deflashing.
STMC engineers used the NS-60 cryogenic deflashing machine for the test. The NS-60 is built for small, detailed parts and delivers good precision. After processing, burrs at the gate and outer edges were removed, with leftover burrs kept under 0.1 mm. The result was clearly better than manual deflashing and other common methods.
PEEK is used in many high-end fields, but finishing work has always been difficult. This test shows that using the NS-60 for detailed PEEK parts can give steady, even results without harming the parts—meeting the needs of customers with high quality standards.
STMC focuses on cryogenic deflashing, offering both equipment and contract deflashing ser vices. Whether providing machines or handling batch jobs, STMC has the know-how to get the job done. This successful test on PEEK parts further shows STMC’s ability to work with detailed engineering plastic parts.
